概要
「アトランタ号」などの名作を残しつつ29歳でこの世を去った監督ジャン・ヴィゴの、波瀾に満ちた生涯を描く実録ドラマ。結核にかかった映画監督のヴィゴは、サナトリウムで闘病生活を送っていた。そこで、同じ病気に苦しむ美女リデュと出会い、恋に落ちる。ヴィゴの映画に対する情熱は抑えがたく、絶対安静の身でありながら「アトランタ号」の製作を開始する。だが、過労と貧困から彼の病状はますます悪化してゆく。
