概要
アメリカ北部の小さな田舎町ツイン・ピークス。町一番の人気者だった女学生ローラ・パーマーが死体で発見された。その地方で起きていた連続殺人と関係ありと踏んだＦＢＩは特別捜査官クーパーを派遣。クーパーは地元の保安官たちの協力を得て捜査を開始するが……。Ｄ・リンチのカルトＴＶシリーズの第１話スペシャル。次々と登場する人物たちは皆どこかしら奇妙で、全体に流れるＡ・バダラメンティの浮遊感いっぱいの曲と、リンチ独特の画面構成が、ダークなソープオペラを作り出している。
